Denham Chrysler Ltd. began business in Lloydminster in November 1988, in a
rented building located along Highway 17 North. The dealership began its
operation with 8 employees and 4 service bays in a building of 4000 square
feet.
Within the year Denham Chrysler had expanded, moving the Service Bays into
a 7200 sq. ft. building. The number of employees increased and renovations
began. The growth continued and the land and buildings were purchased.
Business grew steadily, renovations continued and by 1998 the employees
numbered 27. In 2001 a decision had to be made; do we build or renovate
extensively, or do we relocate and start from ground zero?
Well, we went from Saskatchewan to Alberta, from the north to the south end
of the city, from an 11000 sq. ft. facility to a building that is over
24000 sq. ft. employing more than 40 fulltime staff. No change could have
been more drastic or rewarding.
